If your pet is already eating Harringtons regularly and you're simply switching between flavours within the same range, a gradual transition from one to the other is typically not necessary.
The core ingredients across the flavours are usually similar, which helps minimise any impact on your pet’s digestion.
When a gradual transition might be needed
If you’re unsure or your pet has a sensitive stomach, you can transition slowly to the new flavour or variety over 7–10 days.
Follow this simple guide for switching your pet’s food:
- Days 1-4: Mix 20% new food with 80% of your pet’s previous food
- Days 5-7: Adjust the mix to 40% new and 60% previous food
- Days 8-10: Transition to 60% new and 40% previous food
- Days 11-13: Increase to 80% new and 20% previous food
- Day 14: Fully switch to the new food
